Liam Mc Laughlin

Liam is one of the founders and CEO of Gen0, an energy and decarbonisation consultancy based in Madrid, Spain. He has supported close to 600 industrial, commercial, and governmental organisations over the past two decades in implementing energy management systems. He has led the development of many tools to enable organisations to manage, optimise and monitor their energy performance.

He is also the lead international expert in energy management systems with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) having led the development and delivery of their international capacity building program since 2011. As part of that role he is currently co-leading the development of a new ISO international standard on the decarbonisation of energy in organisations.

He has worked with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, The European Defence Agency, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and many multi-national organisations in the pharmaceutical, food and drinks, micro-electronic and other sectors.
